The busiest day in YPR's history was August 31, 1998, when 450 movie stars and celebs passed through. Paul Allen, co-founder of Microsoft, chartered the cruise ship Crystal Harmony for a cruise through northern waters.

Prince Rupert Airport was chosen as the departure point to take the celebs back home. The airport greeted the party with local entertainment as they waited for their flights home.

Airport facilities were stretched to the limit to house the 14 chartered and private aircraft which landed to take the movie and sports stars home.

YPR has never had so many aircraft on the apron at one time

Airport staff and entertainers kept the event secret for weeks.
