Prince Rupert is the hub of local, regional and continental travel in the Northwest, whether you're travelling by sea, road or rail.

Local Ground Transportation

Prince Rupert and Port Edward Transit. BC Transit operates bus service around Prince Rupert and to Port Edward, including North Pacific Fishing Village during the summer.

Skeena Taxi has a large fleet of taxis that operate around the clock, every day. Call 250-624-2185

Car Rentals are available from National Car Rentals with offices at the Highliner Plaza Hotel.

Regional Ground Transportation

Greyhound Canada provides daily bus transportation connection to its North American system.

VIA Rail Canada provides rail transport three times weekly on the Skeena, connecting Prince Rupert with Prince George and Jasper.

Ocean Travel

West Coast Launch (Prince Rupert Adventure Tours) provides water taxi services as well as a variety of tour options.

Metlakatla Development Corp: Metlakatla Ferries and North Co-Corp offer ferry services between Prince Rupert, Metlakatla, Oona River, Kitkatla and Hartley Bay. Seashore Charters has whale watching, bear viewing and cultural tools.

Ferry services: BC Ferries connects Prince Rupert with Haida Gwaii and Port Hardy (Vancouver Island). Alaska Marine Highway links Prince Rupert with communities in coastal Alaska.
